DIY Diaper Ointment Spray

Keep your baby’s bottom fresh and irritation free with this DIY non-toxic diaper ointment spray.  It is so pure you could eat it!  It’s safe, effective, and multipurpose.  I have even used this spray to remove eye makeup, shine dull legs on date night, and soothe skin after shaving.

We have used this homemade diaper spray on my daughter since she was 1 day old.  As a newborn, it helped easily remove the sticky, tar-like meconium from her bottom without irritation.  Since her birth, we continue to use this spray with each diaper change to maintain a happy, healthy bottom free of redness.

Use doTERRA Correct-X on skin irritations, scrapes, cuts and redness

Another non-toxic ointment we use for diapering is doTERRA’s Correct-X. It provides a thicker ointment with skin soothing essential oils that provides more of a barrier between the skin and a wet diaper.  We use it on road trips longer than 3 hours or on an occasional red spot.  Like the diaper ointment spray, it is multifunctional.  I also use it on the tiny fingernail scratches the baby leaves on her face, cuts, razor burn, and under my eyes after along night.

To keep your diaper bin smelling fresh, ditch the synthetic air fresheners and place a drop of lemon essential oil on a tissue in your  trash bin.  Using cloth diapers? Add a few drops of Purify essential oil to your wash to freshen and and clean without added chemicals that can be harsh on your baby's delicate skin.
