30 Essential Oil Diffuser Blends for the Winter Holidays

Turn your home into a sanctuary with essential oils and a diffuser. An essential oil diffuser uses water and essential oils to put off a fragrant vapor. Diffusing essential oils is the easiest way to experience the benefits of aromatherapy.

Here are a few benefits of diffusing essential oils:
  • Helps you relax
  • Promotes feelings of calm
  • Improves clarity and focus
  • Boosts mood
  • Supports open airways
  • Supports healthy sleeping habits
  • Ease head tension
  • Minimizes seasonal threats
  • Supports a healthy immune system
  • Purifies the air
  • Makes your space smell amazing

It is tempting this time of year to run out and grab candles that have names like, “Fall Harvest, Pumpkin Patch, Christmas Cookie, or Winter Wonderland.” Unfortunately candles are toxic and a huge source of indoor air pollutants. They put off chemicals that are considered just as dangerous as second-hand smoke. Paraffin is a common ingredient in most candles. Paraffin is a petroleum waste product that needs to be deodorized and chemically bleached before it can be made into wax.

Paraffin wax creates extremely toxic benzene and toluene when burned; benzene and toluene are known carcinogens. The toxins released from paraffin candles are the same as the toxins found in diesel fuel flames. Every time you light a paraffin wax candle you are doing the equivalent of burning diesel fuel flames in your house.

These dangerous pollutants drifting in the air could contribute to the development of health risks like cancer, allergies and even asthma.

Those artificial fragrances are wreaking havoc on your lungs and could even potentially lead to cardiovascular and endocrine disorders in the future. So, if you are missing all the wonderful fall and winter scents this “candle season,” I got you covered with 30 diffuser blends you will love.

Learn more about the dangers of candles and how to make non-toxic candles by reading, How to Make a Non-Toxic Candle with Beeswax and Coconut Oil.

If you struggle creating new diffuser blends and want to finally ditch the toxic candles to the curb this season, you’re going to want to save all the diffuser blends I have prepared for you this month.
